The "Don't Do's" of XBOX360
Last month, we featured a "First Few Things to Do After Buying an XBOX360".
Today, let's take a look at the "Don't Do's"!
1) Don't block any air vents on the console. Place it in a place where air flows freely. Keeping the console in an enclosed cabinet is a strict no no and will soon cause overheating damage to your precious console.
2) Don't attempt to fix the console yourself by opening up the casing. It will void the warranty and even if out of warranty, Microsoft is able to provide a replacement for a small charge (only if console has not been tampered with).
3) Don't run towards the TV when playing Kinect games. We all know that will not end well.
4) Don't use too much strength swinging your arms when playing head to head with another player on Kinect games, especially 2 player modes on Fruit Ninja Kinect ,Dance Central and Kinect Sports. You may just hit your real opponent and end up playing Street Fighter for real.
5) Don't power off the console with your game disc still in it. The disc might get scratched badly if the console is moved from its original location.
6) Don't try to put any pirated games in the tray and try to load the game. Your console may be flagged for XBOX Live ban.
7) Don't think you won't get addicted to gaming, the XBOX console is not just a toy. To some, it is a religion!
8) Last but not least, don't stop playing the XBOX! It'd prolong your lifespan! See here for example of old granny playing XBOX Skyrim!

Demo Game Review : Amy
The game is "Amy".
The demo is available to download from XBOX Live Marketplace here.
After spending the past few weeks on Dead Rising 1, I finally completed the game and was still bloodthirsty for more zombie genre games.
Browsed through the recent game releases on Marketplace and saw that the latest zombie game was "Amy".

First few things to do after buying your XBOX360
After you bought the XBOX360 console, brought it home, delightfully unboxed it and plugged it into the TV, there are a few things that you should do before popping in the game discs and start playing.
The most important thing to do now is to get your XBOX360 connected to the internet.
Be sure you know your home's wireless security settings as the current XBOX360s have a built-in wifi that allows you to connect wirelessly without additional hardware.

Welcome
The first XBOX I owned was in 2004.
It was a free gift upon signing up with the local ISP with a contract for 2 years.
I was an avid gamer for a few years and stopped gaming, though I still own the first original XBOX.
Just recently in December 2011, I was spurred by the new XBOX360's Kinect which allowed the use of the entire body as the game controller and went to purchase a brand new XBOX360 console with Kinect.
Just like cycling, you will never forget it.
And everything I learnt from the old XBOX came back.
I am sure many others have bought this console for their children and/or themselves and have many uncertainties about the XBOX360 console...
With this blog, I will share my experiences, tips and guides about the XBOX360 and hopefully clear the doubts about owning this fantastic gaming platform in your home.
